Worrying about her well-being, Kaalaiyan and Pattamal travel to Kolkata to find her. Meenatchi shifts to Kolkata with her husband, where she loses contact with Kaalaiyan. An understanding Nattadurai peacefully leaves, and Kaalaiyan staves off demands for an honour killing from relatives.
